Really? Is PAS Signed Up to The REFORMASI Agenda?

Indeed, we will and we must work with everyone who is signed up to the Reformasi agenda. After all, we as a nation has never been this close to a regime change. What must be questioned however, is whether or not the current PAS leadership falls in to this category. Last I checked, Hadi and the current PAS leadership is still the same one that has cut ties with three quarters of Pakatan Harapan. It is also the the same PAS that is working shamelessly and closely with UMNO, and been attacking DAP with all sorts of unthinkable, polarising narratives. This is before even touching on the frightful lack of common ground with PH. Social visits are welcome, but the seemingly bilateral 'talks' between the PKR deputy president with the PAS leadership is a matter of grave concern. Is this bilateral relationship exclusive of the rest of PH? How can we be welcoming talks with a party that is as UMNO friendly as they are hostile to PH? Whilst we must be tactical and strategic in our agenda of winning majorities in Parliament and the State Assemblies, the political position of PH must also be defended. An exclusively tactical reasoning for keeping the door open for PAS is counterproductive, especially when PAS is unreservedly posturing as a party hostile to PH. If I, as a frontliner who is informed of the intricacies of our political landscape, am discontented, I hate to think what our supporters, our voters and the general electorate think. Our agenda is clear. To build a new economy that reduces burden of the rakyat and increase the disposable income. So that the quality of life for all Malaysians improve. Does the current PAS leadership agree with this? To reform key institutions so that the courts are independent, the newspapers editors don't take orders from the ruling party, the police are clean and act professionally and the power of the Prime Minister is checked by measures such as a term limit. Does the current PAS leadership agree with this? If they do, why are they attacking us? If they don't, neither time nor space should be allocated to reaching out to the PAS leadership. We must reach out to the members and supporters of PAS, but not its current leadership which is already in de facto coalition with UMNO. I sincerely urge that PH does not waste time and resources in reaching out to PAS current leadership. I can agree that the door must be kept open, but we -PH- must not and should not be the ones reaching out to PAS. The wind of Change is blowing in the sails of the Pakatan Harapan ship, so we must tighten the ropes and sail forth. IF AND WHEN, there is a clear change of leadership or direction in PAS and they wish to come on board, they must agree to our agenda and Malaysian people's agenda first. They must come to PH and negotiate on PH terms.
